Painter Law Firm Medical Malpractice Receives 2024 BBB Award for Excellence

Painter Law Firm Medical Malpractice has been honored with the 2024 Better Business Bureau (BBB) Award for Excellence, a testament to the firm’s unwavering dedication to serving clients with integrity, compassion, and exceptional legal expertise.

Robert Painter, founder of Painter Law Firm Medical Malpractice, expressed his gratitude for the recognition in an interview with the BBB. “Our mission has always been to advocate for patients and families who have experienced life-altering injuries due to healthcare errors. This award highlights our commitment to achieving justice for our clients and improving patient safety.”

When asked about the firm’s focus, Painter explained, “Medical malpractice is a challenging and highly technical area of law, particularly in Texas, where tort reform has made it harder than ever to pursue justice. Despite these barriers, hospitals and healthcare providers continue to harm patients through preventable mistakes, negligence, and systemic failures. We’ve remained steadfast in this area of law because accountability matters, and patient safety depends on it.”

Painter emphasized that hospitals often operate with a troubling lack of transparency, making it difficult for injured patients to get the answers they deserve. “Tort reform was sold as a way to reduce lawsuits and improve care, but we’ve seen no decrease in the number of clients coming to us after devastating healthcare errors. Instead, the burden has shifted to patients who face an uphill battle for justice. That’s why our work is so critical,” he said.

Reflecting on BBB accreditation and awards, Painter stated, “These acknowledgments reinforce the trust our clients place in us. They serve as a reminder of the ethical standards we uphold in every case we handle.”

In 2023, the firm extended its commitment to the community by providing pro bono legal services through the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program. “Giving back is a core value of ours,” Painter emphasized.

Looking forward, Painter anticipates an increase in demand for experienced medical malpractice attorneys as healthcare becomes more complex with an aging population. “Our goal is to remain a trusted resource for individuals navigating the legal system after preventable medical harm. By continuing to improve healthcare accountability, we strive to make a lasting impact.”

As the Greater Houston and South Texas Chapter of the BBB prepares to celebrate its 101st anniversary in 2024, Painter Law Firm Medical Malpractice stands out as a shining example of professionalism and dedication in the legal field.
